A Florentine story since 1950

Our story
Behind every great kitchen, there's a great woman. In our case, her name was Gina.
It was 1950 when Mamma Gina opened the doors of her trattoria in the heart of Florence, on Borgo San Jacopo, right by the Arno. With her apron always tied around her waist and skilled hands that turned simple ingredients into unforgettable dishes, she cooked for her guests the way she cooked for her family: with love, precision and a generous smile. Her very first customers were the renaioli, the men who worked along the Arno rebuilding Florence after the war.
Her dishes told stories: ribollita on winter Sundays, pappardelle with wild boar just like in the old days, chicken breasts finished in the oven. And then her desserts — always homemade — to end every meal with a touch of sweetness and a little nostalgia. Today we carry on her legacy with pride: every dish that leaves our kitchen is a tribute to her passion, and sitting at this table, after all these years, still feels like sitting at her table at home.
For over 70 years, our kitchen has served traditional dishes made with fresh, local ingredients, following recipes handed down from generation to generation
